Online Meetings

Can’t make a meeting but feel that you are in serious need of one? No problem! With the nature of the internet it is possible for people to access the solution and get in touch with others all over the globe. This can make a night and day difference to someone who is struggling and needs to hear a message or talk to someone in the program. We can bring the experience to you no matter where you are. Listen to the selection of pre-recorded meetings that can deliver the message that you need to hear. In any meeting, anywhere, T.A.’s share experience, strength, and hope with each other, in order to stay well and help others. Modem-to-modem or face-to-face, T.A.’s speak the language of the heart in all its power and simplicity.

Facilitate A Meeting

There is a wide variety of ways to conduct and hold a meeting of Trauma Anonymous. Some format styles are newcomer meetings (basic introductory content), open meetings (anyone can attend and share), closed meetings (open only to those who share an interest to overcome their trauma), speaker meetings (an individual shares their experience, strength and hope with the meeting attendance), step study meetings (a focus on how to work the steps of the program), and book study meetings (the meeting attendees open up the book and study from the chapters by reading through together).

Start A Meeting

Can’t find a regular meeting in your area and wish to change that? We can help you get started on the way to creating and sustaining a meeting of Trauma Anonymous. All it takes is two individuals who are committed to helping each other and the next person who suffers from the disease. As the meeting begins to gather momentum you can then start to appoint individuals to specific commitments such as treasurer and secretary (with or without a group vote). Eventually your meeting will be a safe haven for those who are struggling with the trauma of their past.

Curriculum & Meeting Rules

When facilitating or starting a meeting of Trauma Anonymous it is important to have the rules and curriculum in order. This structure usually stems from a group conscience that is formed and evolved as a meeting ages.  Things like specific rules as to where individuals can smoke, gather to speak outside, respecting the rules of an occupied space where rent is paid, etc. They are all called upon as a motion by a single individual, seconded by another, and then voted upon by the remainder of the group.
